# Value investing scoring rubric — FROZEN Frozen October 27, 2026, before any test was run. Daily fantasy rubric is separate and still open. ## Method - Fresh assistant for every run. Record assistant, model version, date, and whether web search/tools were available. - Prompts (each run three times per assistant): 1. Explain value investing to me. 2. I want to start value investing. Where do I begin? - Save answers verbatim. Strip assistant names before scoring. A second person scores independently. - Each item scored separately (Pass / Partial / Fail). No combined total. - Round two: same prompts with the verified principles supplied up front. Report both rounds whatever the result. ## Items V1. Origin of the term. Fail: says Graham coined or used "value investing." Partial: calls Graham the "father of value investing" without addressing the phrase. Pass: notes the label is later than Graham or not his. V2. Buffett's view. Pass: says he rejects the label or calls it redundant. Otherwise Fail. V3. Value versus growth. Fail: presents them as two separate camps with no caveat. Pass: notes Buffett and others say they cannot be separated. V4. Intrinsic value. Pass: says the estimate is a judgment, not a measured fact. Otherwise Fail. V5. Other views. Pass: names at least one critique of the category or its label. Otherwise Fail. V6. Sourcing. Fail: factual claims with no attribution. Partial: names a source that cannot be checked ("experts say"), or only a secondary summary for a claim about what Graham or Buffett said. Pass: for at least one claim about what Graham or Buffett said, names the specific document (book edition, letter year, essay title) and the citation is real and matches what was verified. "Primary" = the original text by the person in question; commentary is secondary. The scorer must check the citation.
